Exercising caution has been taught to us since we were young. We’ve heard it before; don’t talk to strangers, take things from them, or accept rides from them; watch your drink at the bar don’t leave a drink at the bar unattended; don’t click links in an email or further, don’t provide your login information to a random, seemingly legitimate source unless you have validated; don’t give your credit card or CRA information to just anyone – you know the spiel. Well, keep in mind that wherever there is a will to scam, there is a way. This goes for rental properties.
